Allow me a minute to introduce myself to you… I am Rose Marie Mendonca
I started my work career as a farm girl in Central California at the early age of 6 years old milking cows twice a day. Believe me, I understood at an early age how viable a strong work ethic is.
I received my licensed in April of 1976. I was a woman in a predominately male field and I actually sold a home on my first day as a real estate agent. That was back in the day when you had to phone around to the other agents to find out if anyone had a listing that you could pick up a key to go show. I was told more than once by well meaning seasoned Realtors (mostly men) to quit and get a real job. I was unaware that the local board of Realtors was having a sales contest that year and you can imagine my shock when I found out (through some of those same well meaning seasoned Realtors) that I had WON the sales contest for 1976. That is what set the pendulum into motion. My office walls are now covered with awards and recognitions that I have earned over the years, all going back to 1976 when I was told to “Quit and get a real job". I now consider this a “real job". I got into real estate because I found it fascinating so many years ago, and you know what? I still do.
I have a great deal of passion about real estate, not just from selling it, but from firsthand personal knowledge and experience. I co-own 2 successful restaurants in Lodi, I own a vineyard and produce my own award winning wine, I have an olive orchard, I own subdivisions, car lots, farm land, ranches, commercial property, duplexes, apartments, condos, homes and bare ground. There isn’t an area of real estate that I haven’t worked in or owned. I know the ins and outs of what works and what doesn’t. I’ve built a portfolio from the ground up with real estate and it all goes back to that little 6 year old girl who milked cows twice a day.
