About Los Banos

Los Banos is a community of approximately 36,000 situated on the west side of Merced County and known for its small-town atmosphere. Named "Los Banos" in the late 1800s after a nearby natural water spring, the town celebrates its heritage in ranching with a beautiful Miller Plaza that incorporates a large bronze arrangement of famous resident Henry Miller with his cattle.

Los Banos is known for its annual Merced County Spring Fair and the Frank Lloyd Wright Randall Fawcett House as well as many agriculture-based operations.
