About Manteca

Called the "Family City", Manteca's approximate 66,000 residents choose the area for its quality of life and many commute to nearby metro areas. The original residents intended to name their community Monteca, but a misspelling by the Pacific Railroad named the local train stop Manteca and the name eventually stuck.

The Manteca Museum preserves the rich history of the area. For entertainment, Kelly Bros. Brewing Co. offers microbrews and slow-cooked barbeque in a restored move theatre.
