About Salida
Salida continues the agricultural traditions of the Central Valley. Most notably, Salida features a major Blue Diamond almond processing facility. Salida means "exit" in Spanish and was named after a railroad station of the same name that was built in town by the Central Pacific Railroad in 1870.
Joseph A. Gregori High School opened its doors in the fall of 2010 as the first high school in Salida.
